Profit is not cash
A sale can create revenue before the customer pays. Profit also depends on costs; cash changes only when money comes in or goes out.

Fixed costs are there from the first day. Each sale adds margin until the two lines meet, and only then does profit start.

Lesson 1.1 · Profit is not cash
The idea
A business can record a sale and still run out of money. Revenue is recorded when the goods are delivered, even if the customer pays later. Profit also depends on costs, and cash moves only when money is paid or received.

Lesson 1.1 is free, without an account. You can start at any level. Mozambique plan totals include 16% IVA. The basket shows the base price and IVA separately. International prices are in US$, with no Mozambique IVA. The checkout billing address determines the final amount.
